Course Guidance for Students Registering for Japanese language Classes in 1st Semester (April) AY2025
International students registering for Japanese language classes must take a Japanese proficiency check test and undergo course guidance with their respective Japanese language coordinator BEFORE attending and registering. Students who can not participate in the course guidance dates stipulated below inform their individual class coordinators and undergo course guidance by the deadline below.
*Classes for this semester start on April 11th (Friday).
What is your Japanese level?
First, check your current Japanese proficiency (listening, reading, speaking-interaction, speaking-presentation, writing) on the “Japanese Check! (Agency for Cultural Affairs)” page below and consider which classes you should take. If your current Japanese proficiency is between A2 and C1, and you would like to take classes at the A3, B1, B2, and C1 levels, be sure to take the above Japanese language proficiency check test given by the Global Education Center of the University of the Ryukyus.
In addition, regardless of the results of the online Japanese language proficiency check below, students in the short-term exchange program (the RISE program) must check which class guidance they must participate in according to the information email from the university.
